2D Side Scroll Space Shooter

This 2D side scroll space shooter is my first game creation while learning how to make games. Ive created most of the assets (except for the asteroids), sprites, and animations myself. I have a bigger vision for this project in mind which involves adding in interactive power-ups, more levels, enemies, etc. However, Id like to get some input from the community.
