a difficult game to get to the end of

a game with a fair amount of grinding, a narrator that hates you and a 30 minute long final boss. an rpg... but with backtracking, painfully difficult bosses, unsatisfying victories and puzzles containing math. Sticking to the end of this game is VERY difficult. But if you make it all the way to the end, you may find a very nice reward!
