A Girls Cantonment

Ada Hartford was traveling overseas in New York. During her absence, her brother Nicholas and his wife Edith died in a carriage accident. Since the crossing from America to England takes a few months, the child was temporarily send to a catholic orphanage. After her return home, Ada begins to search for her niece. But when Ada arrives at the orphanage, it is abandoned. Determined to find her niece or at least indications of her whereabouts, Ada nevertheless enters the orphanage.
