Artists Statement In September 2018, my mother broke her hip. Prior to her fall, she had been living at home, walking and strong, and taking the bus independently despite her dementia, but after two months in hospital, she was wheelchair bound and unable to care for herself. She needed to be placed in a seniors care facility.
