Raised as a Knight of Francia, Mélodie finds herself in an unfamiliar part of the world, or perhaps an entirely different world, after being struck down in a war for her country. Lacking even basic communication ability due to a language barrier, Mélodie is aided by the young Diviner and shrine maiden, Sachiko. Sachikos Light magic allows a temporary ability to speak and understand the language of this New World, but the pair must work together to find a permanent solution in order for Mélodie to stand on her own.
