(CW: pixel artwork containing body horror) A project made to reflect on the stereotypical depictions of women within horror genres. Only in recent years have representations in media shifted away from the male-gaze as the main focus for marketing (ex: the trailer for Megans Body versus the initial reception), focusing and developing female-driven horror. This interactive gallery proposes controversial subversions of tropes commonly used for the depiction of women in popular horror.
