Late for the Date

First game made in pico-8 ! Made in just under 7 days (in the middle of moving country, some was done in an airport) for the fantasy console game jam. Very simple with quite a few bugs (text moves with the player, background judders etc) but.. I tried! Pico-8 is really fun and I am sure in the future I will improve upon this as more. Some code was taken from here for the basic jump/collision but very heavily modified and the timer was taken from a comment here.
