In The Cartesian, players assume the role of a lonely spirit operating in the limbo of non-reality. Maps are generated from images provided by the player. These images are changed as The Cartesian explores the world, searching for the borders of the imagination, hunting for secrets, and avoiding the monsters of the mind.
