Vision: 3D platformer played in 2D screen space

Mockup for a group project.Imagine a 3D world, platforms free-floating in utter nothingness. Your character falls from the "sky" and lands... on the outline of a platform? He/she is unable to interact with the 3-dimensional world. You must manipulate and rotate the 3d world to enable your 2D platforming character to reach platforms, finally reaching the level goal.
