"Wake Up and Save the World" is a ZZT adventure world in the style of mid-90s ZZT worlds like "Code Red", "Coolness", and other games in which an everyday teenager wakes up, and has a grand adventure to save the world. Although the audience of ZZT games is now far older than the early-teen protagonists of these titles, I think you can understand the appeal ZZTers had as early-teens in these sort of power fantasy games that were loosely base on real world settings.
