where is the ground?

what where is the ground? all of the sudden ive started falling and cant move how in the world will i get out of this one.Maybe I could use the werid red thingy to catch my fall if only I could press A or D like in those videogames. At this rate it will take me 3 days to fall back to the ground although I dont see anything coming soon
